market centre of Paris known as Les Halles. The ornate cast iron sides with
relief decoration featuring bovine head terminals and the deities Asclepius
and Aequitas as well as the polychrome armorial crest of Les Halles, Paris
with Latin inscription Fluctuat Nec Mercitur. c 1880.
