MYA. Late Jurassic Period. Tithonian. Morrison Formation. San
Juan County, Utah, USA. The Camarasaurus was a fairly common sauropod of the

that its legs were all of virtually the same length, unusual for most
species of dinosaurs.

custom-made metal stand.

animals for which skeletons have been found, Brachiosaurus is the largest
and most massive, weighing up to 80 tonnes.

Description: Sauropod Femur. Brushy Basin
formation, Utah. 140 MYA.
This
gigantic bone is from the leg of a Brachiosaurus
and belonged to an
adult individual which may have reached up to 25 metres in length. It has
been left in its natural state and displays beautiful patination and bone
texture.
Its sheer size makes this rare bone an awe inspiring exhibit with its custom
made steel stand showing the bone to the best advantage with minimum
support.
Brachiosaurus was the largest land animal that ever lived, weighing up to 80
tonnes and was on average 23 metres in length. This fine example of a
fossilized femur is a large and very heavy bone.
